What is the difference between Villa Plata Vida Assisted Living and
Villa Plata Vida Independiente?

At the Independent Living Residence we serve people 55 and over who are 100% autonomous and do not require support of any kind for their daily living activities. However, we offer a safe space where they can live in community and dedicate themselves to enjoying this wonderful stage of their lives.

At the Assisted Living Residence we care for people who require any type of assistance, basic, advanced or even with Alzheimer's or other dementias. We take care of all their needs so that their relatives can enjoy their company without worries.

In which State of the Republic are they located?

We are located in Zapopan, Jalisco. Soon we will also be in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

What are the rooms like and can they be shared?

We have two styles of residential units, both with their own bathroom: room and apartment. They can be shared if the two people are family or friends.

What is the age limit to join?

In the Independent Living Residence it is from 55 years of age. In the Assisted Living Residence, it depends on the condition of the person.

What are the entry requirements?

To be an older adult. If you are mentally well, have the will to be admitted, have a family member or responsible contact person, have the ability to live in community, have the approval of our Health Team, who makes an assessment prior to admission.

What is the process to initiate the admission procedure?

The first step is to contact our Admissions Advisor at 33 1895 7405. She will explain about the initial assessment by our Health Team, which is in charge of identifying the needs of the older adult to be attended and determining their program of care.

What are the costs?

The costs of the Assisted Living Residence vary according to the Care Program and the type of residential unit (room or apartment). The average ticket is $62,000.00 pesos per month all inclusive, but it can be less or more. In the Independent Living Residence we have plans starting at $18,500.00 pesos per month.

Are the apartments for sale?

No. The residential units are on a monthly rental scheme.

Are visits and outings allowed?

Of course, your family and friends are invited to be part of the Villa Plata Family, that is why we offer restaurant and cafeteria service to make your visit more enjoyable.

In the Assisted Living Residence, both for visits and departures, a few simple protocols must be followed in order to provide better care.

In the Independent Living Residence you can enter and leave without any problem, as well as receive visitors, as long as you respect the rules of coexistence among the other residents.

Do you have activities only during the day?

Yes, we have the Day Club Service, which is managed under a monthly membership scheme.

Are there short stays and can they stay for just a weekend?

Of course! You can live and enjoy the Villa Plata experience from one week.

Do you have a geriatrician?

Yes, in the Assisted Living Residence our geriatrician is present 5 days a week, in a 4-hour workday, and we have 24-hour nursing care. Our Health Team follows the indications provided by the Resident's attending physician, which must be communicated in writing through the family member. In case of emergency, we have a network of geriatricians who can assist in assessing the Resident 24/7, and we also have an ambulance insurance that supports us in case a transfer to a hospital is necessary.

At the Independent Living Residence we have a geriatrician a few hours a week for any need. In addition, we have a nurse 24 hours a day to attend to emergencies.

What workshops and activities do older adults participate in?

They enjoy activities specific to their program, including: cognitive group therapy, physical group therapy, sensory therapy, art, dance, singing therapy, group physical therapy, sensory therapy, art, dance, singing, theater, arts and crafts, history, book club, play therapy, ceramics, among others.
